2025 Docent Training Course

This course will prepare prospective docents to lead tours of Morris Center exhibitions, focusing on “Fuel the Mind” fourth grade field trips. Trainees will be asked to present a mock tour at the end of the training. Additionally, docents will need to watch four history videos. Once new docent trainees complete the course, they are expected to give a minimum of 2 years of active service, in which they should attend additional training, as new exhibitions open.

Internships

Our internship program is an excellent opportunity for undergraduate, graduate, and beginning professionals to obtain practical experience in a specific area of museum work. Interns will gain practical and theoretical training and work closely with the Director of Programs and Exhibits.
